Neon Drift Circuit

Racing games and touchscreens are usually a bad marriage, but Neon Drift Circuit gets it. It uses tilt or on-screen buttons, and the button layout is adjustable, so I could push everything to the right side where my thumbs actually sit. Once I set that up, it clicked.

The drifting is forgiving without being boring. You can feel your speed, the tracks are short enough to retry instantly, and the sense of momentum carries the whole thing. Visually it's all glow and reflections, which looks great but does warm the phone up.

If you turn the effects down a notch the battery holds fine for a longer session. As an arcade racer for quick races on the go, it's one of the best I've played this year.
