About

Maple Grip started as a group chat where a few of us kept swapping screenshots and complaints about touch controls. At some point it made more sense to write things down properly, so here we are. The site is independent, small, and run by people who play on the bus, on the couch and during lunch breaks.,We don't chase every release. A game gets a review only after someone on the team has spent real time with it, on more than one device if we can manage it. We care about the boring stuff too: how hot the phone gets, how fast the battery drains, whether the settings menu lets you turn things off.,Genres matter to us. A racing game and a slow strategy title ask completely different things from a touchscreen, so we judge them on their own terms instead of one universal score. When we like something we say why, and when a game frustrates us we try to explain the exact moment it lost us.,Nothing here is sponsored. We buy or download games the normal way, and if that ever changes on a specific piece we'll write it plainly at the top.
